Writers and Creators need to get back to their own sites, including me

After the destruction of Twitter. Yes, Twitter, not X. Twitter. One could realize that the place you spent so much time trying to build virtual relationships and get the word out about your own work, could be taken from you when a spoiled idiotic billionaire buys the party and destroys it.

And Zuckerberg seems to want to turn all of properties into X part 2. Unfortunately Zuck owns, Facebook, Instagram, and the new Threads. I’m actually enjoying threads.

On top of all of that, Tik Tok maybe shuddered here in the US. Small business people like me with little to no place to advertise and get the word out about my work that isn’t leaning or bowing to Nazis.

I envision creators heading back 20 years ago when blogs first came onto the scene. The challenge with blogs is getting people to come see them. The death of Google Reader was the death knell at the time for blogs.

But here in 2025 creators are limited to Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and YouTube. If Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok go away that really limits creators.

So anyway, moving forward find me more here and in my newsletter.
